Teams

Team Competition: All teams will be eligible to win the team award. Our timing source will calculate finish times and the average of the 5 fastest racers will generate a time. The best time will designate our first-place team.

Team Spirit Award: Is your team loud and proud to show it?! Are you a big or small group that SHOUTS spirit?! We are recognizing the team that shows the MOST spirit at our event! We challenge you to BE that team!!!

We have SPIRIT…How ‘bout YOU!? 

We will have a TEAM SPIRIT AWARD again this year at the Women’s 5K! This is a great way to create awareness for the cause!  Why not participate and let everyone know why you are walking or running! You are encouraged to make your team stand out! Have fun and be creative! The Team Spirit Award will be based on costumes, team name,  t-shirts, props, enthusiasm, songs, chants, etc.  Our Women’s 5K Committee and TUX GUYS will be on the look out for SPIRITED TEAMS!  During the awards portion of the event, ONE team will be deemed “The Women’s 5K Classic Team Spirit Award Winner”.  This team will receive a small token of our appreciation for winning.  Also, your team picture will be featured on the Women’s 5K Facebook page (FREE ADVERTISING & BRAGGING RIGHTS!!). 

In order to qualify:

*Each team must have a registered team name

*You can register your team name when you sign up for the event

(If you already signed up and didn’t create a team- it is not too late!

Please email Michelle @ mmsames@verizon.net  with your team name and team member names!)

*Each team member must be registered

*To be considered a team there must be 2 or more participants

*Teams need to be registered by the end of the Josh Early Health Expo

*Teams can be any combination of walkers or runners, and contain kids and adults

Team Spirit Photos On Race Morning 

Don’t forget to get your picture taken on race morning in order to commemorate your team’s accomplishment in the fight against female cancers!  You’ll have the opportunity to get a picture in front of our Women’s 5K backdrop.
