As an all-volunteer organization, the Women’s 5K Classic has proudly allocated over $4.5 million to programs that uplift and support individuals and families throughout the Greater Lehigh Valley. Among these valued partners, the Cancer Support Community of the Greater Lehigh Valley (CSC) stands out as a beacon of hope and healing.
A Lasting Partnership Rooted in Care
The connection between the Women’s 5K Classic and CSC dates back to 2004, when the organization was first established as The Wellness Community. Following its merger with Gilda’s Club in 2009, it became the Cancer Support Community of the Greater Lehigh Valley. Since its earliest days, the Women’s 5K Classic has been a dedicated grant sponsor—helping CSC expand its reach and touch the lives of hundreds of individuals and families navigating the challenges of cancer.
CSC recognized early on that cancer doesn’t just affect individuals—it impacts entire families. Through Women’s 5K Classic funding, they have been able to extend their support not only to those diagnosed, but also to their loved ones, creating a network of care that strengthens the entire community.
